Meet the Team

Wendy Lloyd

Co-Founder, Designer and Maker

I retired from my long working career many moons ago to indulge myself in my spiritual and wellness side and run my own small alternative healing studio doing therapeutic massages, reflexology and Reiki.

As a strong believer in sustainability, I endeavour to recycle, restore, re-purpose and reuse whatever and whenever I can. My self-sustaining gardens and greenhouse, my precious animals, grumpy goose (Matilda), my 6 fur-babies: walk-in cat (Biscuit), the two seniors (Sam and Ash), the naughty twins (Piper and Redd) and gentle soul (Nic), keep me occupied and grounded.

And, my love of cooking (Cordon Bleu trained) has led to numerous endeavours, from air drying, pickling and bottling the season’s products under my Cross-Eyed Duck brand.

During 2020 (the Silent Year as many call it) and continuing, I started my handmade cement product line Emma Pots. Winnifred – green fingers – is my gatherer and planter.

MEET THE TEAM

Winnifred Knight

Co-Founder and Plant Whisperer

I spend most of my working career in marketing and communications and travelled the world learning and enhancing my profession and life.

I’m a gatherer and sharer of knowledge (training and mentoring), and have a fierce entrepreneurial spirit. I’m a Future Forward Thinker and Doer. A compulsive DIY-er. A Marketer-at-Large. I’m passionate and a collector of Oriental and Persian Carpets, Rugs, Tapestries and Textiles.

Now, officially a senior-surfer citizen, I assist Wendy with Emma Pots, I do the propagating and planting. Gardening is in my blood and to nurture my soul, I believe in and endorse what someone once said: ‘To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.’

As a supporter of The Circular Economy, I aim to live my life by sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing, and recycling existing materials and products for as long as possible (Wikipedia). And a bit of minimalism.
